Our huge rooms (8m X 8m) come fully equipped with professional PA systems. We use Spirit FX8 mixing desks with built in Lexicon vocal effects providing reverbs and delays to sweeten your sound. Each room has a 500Watt PA amp powering a pair of Wharfedale pro PA speakers. We'll keep a note of how many mics your band needs and make sure they're set up for you before each rehearsal.
Guitar Amps
Our rooms come with a selection of guitar amps ranging from retro sounding valve amps, modern solid state amps and digital modelling amps. For a full list of all our amps check out the equipment page.
Bass Amps
Bassists are in for a treat at Chimera as we supply each room with a Warwick Tubepath valve amp guaranteed to make you sound fantastic and look extremely cool too.
Drum Kits
We use Mapex V Series drum kits which we re-skin regularly to keep them sounding good as new. There's extra hardware available if you need it too and there's always a tuning key to hand.
Keyboards
Need a piano? We'll supply a fully weighted keyboard with a selection of piano, rhodes and organ sounds but if you absolutely must bring your own we have free parking available and a goods lift so you can get your gear in and out of the building easily.

Your first 2 hour rehearsal at Chimera is free and we'll even throw in a free pot of tea for your band to tempt you to try us for yourself.

Record your rehearsal
Easy demo recording
With our one button recording system it's easy for even the most techno-phobic musicians to record their rehearsals. For £5 our field recorders will capture your sound exactly as it is in the rooms and we'll give you a recording on CD to take away.

Personalise your rehearsals
At Chimera when you make a regular booking for your band's rehearsals we'll save all your amp settings and make sure they're restored before your next visit. That way you'll always be ready to play from the moment you arrive. We'll keep a note of the number of mics you need as well as any other special requirements you have and make sure your room is always set up just how you like it.
